ABOUT the designer

Fear Not web.jpg

My name is Tamara Diamond and I am a Graphic Designer with over 20 years of experience. I have a BFA and graduated with honors from Western Michigan University located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I enjoy the entire process of taking projects from concept to completion. I am highly skilled in typography, photo editing and I have a strong natural eye for color and composition.

During my last 16 years of employment I worked at the non-profit organization, the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. While a part of the Marketing team, I designed all print projects including but not limited to; production logos, season brochures, billboards, annual reports, programs, newsletters, posters, ads and internal and external signage. I also helped with website maintenance, designing merchandise, office upkeep, communicating with print houses and managing my time. I feel very fortunate to have been a part of such a highly visible community organization like The Civic. I felt honored to have the ability to create such high quality material for them and working there helped me feel more involved with the community I lived in.

In my earlier years, I worked for the greeting card company American Greetings, a golf and travel based design studio called SKYH Creative, LLC, The Kalamazoo Gazette (now a part of MLive Media Group) and as a Freelance Graphic Designer for several local businesses plus a handful of individual clients. Each environment that I have had the opportunity to work in has taught me something new and I am grateful for the way those experiences have shaped me. I look forward to continuing to grow as a designer, an artist and as an individual.
